Interaction Designer
Fjord, part of Accenture Interactive, is a design and innovation consultancy that reimagines and redefines people’s relationships with the digital and physical worlds. Our ultra-curious tinkerers, culture sleuths and pragmatic strategists use the power of design to explore new ideas and create new services that deliver experiences people love. By combining a human-centred approach with robust methodology, we make complex systems simple and elegant for the world’s leading brands.
My time working for Fjord was split across two projects
The Kingfisher Home Improvement Project December 2016 – March 2017
Utilising the latest techniques from Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning to Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality and Visual & Voice recognition, applying technology to solve customer’s problems and help them create their perfect home.
Castrol Lubrication Business Management March 2016 – June 2017
An SAP implementation designed to simplify global processes for the global oil brand. Training materials such as role-plays and process maps were designed to educate national managers in the incremental rollout across markets. Working with a 6 strong team, I lead workshops to detail out processes and then work with the design team to drive the solution.
“Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very concise, methodical and has a keen eye for detail. At the same time, Paul is straightforward to work with, no egos, always working with the project’s goal in mind and approaching discussions with a very open mind. I would definitely love to work with him again if I get a chance : )”
Saurabh Varma Senior UX Designer (EMEA) at Lithium Technologies
“I appreciated Paul’s presence on my team in two different dimensions. Firstly as a lead designer, bringing a wealth of experience to a range of disciplines. Second, as a brother in arms, bringing warmth and humanity to keep our little family together during challenging times! Secret superpower: capturing a coherent summary during a 2-day workshop on writable walls in immaculate printed handwriting, whilst making it look easy.”
